years old, from Santiago, Chile
I'm a Chilean data scientist, recently back in Santiago after a research stay at EPFL in Switzerland, where I worked on online algorithms for matching problems. I'm now joining LarrainVial Asset Management as a quant researcher. My role is to use LLMs to find investment signals. In parallel, I'm co-founder and Lead Data Scientist at Teapot, where we build data-driven solutions for the education sector, optimizing and digitalizing learning through artificial intelligence. I hold a Master's degree in Engineering Sciences with a diploma in Industrial Engineering and Systems from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. I also graduated summa cum laude from Mathematical & Computational Engineering, earning recognition as the best student of my specialty. My thesis focused on online algorithms with applications in pricing.
Mathematics has always been my true passion. I'm particularly focused on stochastic processes, optimization, and graph theory. I love working on applicable frameworks and the techniques used in these areas.
I consider myself a very calm person who always tries to keep composure, even in challenging situations. Outside of work, I'm drawn to the outdoors, camping, and sports. Rock climbing has introduced me to incredible people who have made me very happy 💚. I grew up with a deep love for water skiing and it was my passion throughout my youth, and I even competed in Chile. I was also part of the Club Andes ski team at La Parva Center as a kid. Nowadays, snow skiing has become more of a family tradition that I cherish. I love animals and enjoy going camping whenever I get the chance to disconnect and be in nature with my friends.
